The Committee
An introduction to the committee would go in this place here.
Jimmey Palahey
chairman
Since qualifying in 2004 from Leeds Dental Institute, I have worked in general dental practice around the East Midlands, both privately and for the NHS. I very much enjoy my work and have a particular interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, having completed a number of courses in this field. In 2009 I became a Foundation Trainer and have trained and mentored newly qualified dentists which I found very rewarding. I am a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and of the British Dental Association as well as being the Chair of the Nottingham Local Dental Committee. My hobbies consist of keeping fit and playing Backgammon.

I have been a specialist orthodontist since 2006 and now run a specialist practice, Pure Orthodontics, in central Nottingham providing treatment for both NHS and private patients.
I have been involved in local dental politics for many years both on the Derby LDC until 2003 and subsequently with the Notts LDC. Now living in Nottingham, I am married with three grown up children and enjoy cricket in the Summer months and skiing when the weather turns colder.
